This assessment will help you in the decision-making process of selecting your kitten. So much of the parent’s temperaments are passed down to their kittens.
- Does the cat enjoy being held/cuddled? Yes, she is a very affectionate kitty, loves to cuddle and be pet. Tolerates being picked up and being held but prefers not! She loves to make muffins on your lap and will lay next to you on the couch. She is very affectionate and sweet.
- Does the cat enjoy being brushed? Yes, she loves to be brushed on her back and tail. Tolerates chest and stomach for a short time.
- Is the cat social with other cats? Yes. She loves to play with other cats. She gets along with all our kitties in the cattery. Never hisses and likes to groom all the kitties, young-old.
- Is the cat social with people? Yes, very social, runs right up to strangers.
- How confident is the cat? She is very confident and secure in her surroundings. Adapts to change well.
- Does the cat approach me when I enter the cattery? Eclipse always greets me at the door. She is first in line to receive her love. The males need to be separated from the females, so we alternate back and forth who gets to run throughout the house. One day males the next the females. They also take turns sleeping with us! I don’t get much sleep!! Cat on my head, across my neck and curled up under my arms!
- Does the cat approach strangers when they enter the house? Yes. She is very confident and wants to be the center of attention.
- Does the cat climb into my lap and relax? Yes, most of the time. She will climb into my lap and make muffins and loves to lay beside me on the couch. Loves to be pet!
- Is the cat more social or more of a loner? Very Social
- Is this an alpha cat? Not an alpha, but very confident and secure.
- Energy Level? Moderate – High energy. Mostly in the morning and evening. She does get the zoomies in the afternoon occasionally.
- Bad Habits? Nosey as all get out! She has her nose in everything everywhere!
