Joyous Jade Personality Assessment
This assessment will help you in the decision-making process of selecting your kitten. So much of the parent’s temperaments are passed down to their kittens.
1. Does the cat enjoy being held/cuddled? ONLY on her terms! She tolerates being held for very short periods of time. She lays near you and will cuddle for a time at night by your side. Will follow you everywhere. Is a free spirit most of the time.
2. Does the cat enjoy being brushed? Not a fan of brushing.
3. Is the cat social with other cats? She is very social and loves to play with other cats.
4. Is the cat social with people? She is very social and wants to be around people. She will come and greet you once she determines you are not a threat.
5. How confident is the cat? She is very confident in her own surroundings. More reserved when in a new environment.
6. Does the cat approach me when I enter the cattery? Jade lives as a pet in the home. She will always be our beloved pet. When she is retired, she will continue to live at home. Yes she will approach you once she determines you are not a threat.
7. Does the cat approach strangers when they enter the house? She is wonderful with strangers. She will greet you once she determines you are not a threat. Very interested in what is new to her environment.
8. Does the cat climb into your lap and relax? She is very curious from afar. She doesn’t come and lay in your lap. Will come up to you rub on you and let you pet her. Likes to be next to you but not in your lap.
9. Is the cat more social or more of a loner? She is a social cat that likes her independence.
10. Is this an alpha cat? She is more apt to be submissive in a room of other animals. Gets along with everyone. Not a threat to other animals.
11. Energy Level? She is still a kitten and is more on the side of high energy. Naps then wants to play!
12. Bad Habits? No bad habits. A very easy going kitty.
